Dear Parents,

We are sending this letter out to the parents of the 6th and 7th graders to inform you on what will be happening for the 2012 season.  Sign-up dates will be March 3rd, 4th, 10th & 11th. New Players will sign-up March 17th & 18th. We are having the March sign-ups to make sure that everyone will have equipment on the first day of practice. Out first practice will be July 30th from 6:00pm to 7:30pm. All teams will practice at the Jr. Bulldog Field. The first game will be August 25th. Vegas night will be September 22. The Championship Games will be October 27th.

Taft and Wheeler have put in a rule that if you are going to play for either Taft or Wheeler you cannot play for Jr. Bulldog Football. This is not a Jr. Bulldog rule. Also there will be no more 7th graders on the 8th grade team at either Taft or Wheeler. The Board Members and Coaches would encourage you to play at Jr. Bulldog Football.

There has always been a Myth out there that if you don't play either Taft or Wheeler football you will not play in High School. That is simply not true at all. One example we will give you is this year, the starting Sophomore QB in the last 3 playoff games and 4 other starters NEVER played at Taft or Wheeler- they played in Jr. Bulldogs.  98% of the kids on the Crown Point High School Football Team played in Jr. Bulldogs. The other Myth about playing middle school is to become acclimated to the High School System. They do not even run the same system that the High School does. You don't play as one school team until you reach your Freshman year. We Have a great working relationship with the High School.  Our program is a feeder system to the High School. This is where it all begins- Teaching Fundamental Football & Life Skills.

Here are some of the Pros of Playing at Jr. Bulldog Football that The Board Members & Coaches have put together.

1. Family Atmosphere, Promote Family Values & Teach Life Skills

2.The Best Facilities  (2 Turf Fields)

3. We supply the best equipment for the safety of our players. The league spends $40,000 a year updating our equipment. Our oldest helmet is 3 years old.

4. Ratio of Coaches Per Player is 1 Coach for every 4 Kids to Teach the skills necessary for our players success.

5. We play 10 Minute Quarters   Middle School plays 8 Minutes

6. Everyone Plays

7. Playoff System

8. Practice is from 6:00pm to 7:30pm plenty enough time to get the homework done prior to practice.

9. Not having to go to both A & B Games during the week

Our Coaches have played High School Football, College Football, Pro Football and some have even Coached at the High School Level & College Level. The Board Members and the Coaches have worked very hard to make Jr. Bulldog Football the Best Organization possible. The Board Members and the Coaches would encourage you to play at Jr. Bulldog Football. If You have any Questions you can contact any Board Member or any Coach listed below.

Thank you,
